We didn’t hope to see what exactly Vauxhall offers in the Insignia that make it challenging enough to compete with the adorable Mondeo, but for the odds the Insignia has been leaked before its slated official debut at this July’s London Motor Show. Pitted in the market as the replacement for the not so popular Vectra, The Insignia does score better than its predecessor in terms of the looks at its first unofficial glimpse.
The UK customers would practically get to choose between the Mondeo and the Insignia this October when the first deliveries for the latter begin. It is not only GM’s real attempt to capture the premium family car market by just offering something better than the Vectra only in looks but plans to win hearts with its standout technology too. To its credit, Insignia is the first car from GM to come with the Epsilon 2 platform. Apart from that small bit of information the technical details are not yet out but such pleasing looks do promise an admirable powertrain in the wings.
