The custom built Hummer looks less like the job of some owner, and more like mutilation carried out by some anti-Hummer brigade. The slant nose of the 1991 Hummer H1 is just not right, and the dictionary probably does not have enough words to define its dreary state. Interiors sound far better, vinyl seat upholstery, couple of bucket seats sound far more inviting, if you escape the looks of the exterior that is.
It gets 195hp and 430 lb-ft from a tuned diesel V8, and if you must have it, it’s on eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of $89,000. And if you are kind enough to take this ugly duckling to your garage, it will be a condolence to know that the seller claims to have spent over $185,000 on this Hummer. Because we are in an optimistic mood today, we see a silver lining on this weird Hummer-thing; the Rolls Royce-Hummer doesn’t look so bad now, and the doctor says our eyes will eventually recover from the shock.
