Citroen’s C-design competition, which encourages designers to come out with ideas on the theme of Combine, Connect and Create has seen a plethora of innovative design concepts. Gone are the days when sleds were built by kids to stave off cold boring winter days and then have a lot of fun hurtling down snow covered slopes. Now, we have designers working their magic on the humble sledge to come up with the stunning Citroen Sledge.
This very fresh looking sledge is the brainchild of designer Ognyan Bozhilov and it looks more like a streamlined snow car than a sledge. This sledge has innovation screaming all over it with a steering system that comes with a steering wheel which is quite a departure from the rudimentary steering systems of the kiddy sleds.
A red frame is the basic skeleton around which the entire areodynamic, sledge is built. You can sit very comfortably on this sledge which has an ergonomically designed seat and foot-rails to support yourself. If this sledge ever makes it to production, hurtling down the snowy slopes is sure to get very stylish and cutting edge.
