We have heard about the Caterham Model R500 supercar that weighs around 430 kgs ... when I first heard about it, I believed it would be the lightest supercar ever built, but that was not to be ... in this ever evolving technical era, one can hardly go ahead and achieve a permanent status, at the maximum one can be a trendsetter but to cling to one position is literally impossible.

Danish Automaker RoadRazer is building an ultralight four-wheeler supercoupe that weighs only 300 kgs. This car from RoadRazer resembles the F-1 champ car in terms of external appearance. It is powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa engine that is a 4 cylinder hi-tech 1.3 liter powerplant able to output 175 hp.It comes with a six speed gearbox placed on the steering wheel (gear paddles ).

This car does 0-100 km/h in three seconds. The maker of this supercar haven’t mentioned its top speed but considering its ultralight weight and the powerful engine one can expect to see a real road screamer .
The exterior of this car is all done in carbon and aluminum contributing to the cars super lightweight. Mikkel Steen Pedersen the owner of RoadRazer hopes to launch a road-going version of this car by 2007. The expected price of this car will be around 90,000 USD
