volkswagen slipstream
Volkswagen’s concept for the year 2057 comes as a solution to the densely populated cities and saturated roads that may be prevalent in the future. The vehicle will drive in different orientations for the city and for the highway.

For the city, the teardrop shaped Slipstream travels in an upright position, occupying only a fifth of space as compared to traditional vehicles, once on the highway, it goes into horizontal orientation, its rear fins spread out and the vehicle can reach a top speed of 250mph.

Designed by Derek Jenkins, Ian Hilton and Patrick Faulwetter, this pod will be a thing to watch out for if it ever nears production.
