The DH freeride bike-concept from designer Israel Antunez is a high-tech bike that has a lot in common with the (now) fossilized dinosaurs. The concept aims to bring together strength, flexibility and lightness, and its inspiration from nature helps it to build upon the work that nature has done over millions of years. Shapes, curves and variable thickness around specific parts of the bone structure based concept-frame give necessary properties to each part. The frame is made of A1 hydroformed aluminum.
It has a digital control system that controls the concept’s hydraulic brakes, the suspension, and also interacts with the pressure and motion sensors installed at various points on the bike. A high-precision hydraulic pump at the bike’s rear handles the gearshift system and optimizes braking. Five LEDs of varying intensity are strategically placed as headlights to provide sufficient lighting and visibility.
