Our cities today need cars that are efficient, small, compact and those that won’t take a lot of space on the congested roads. Dmitry Gontarev, a designer, has designed a concept car ‘Diamond’. The car just measures 2.6 meters and can seat four people. Being an electric car, it is completely green and you don’t have to worry about raising fuel prices. Shaped almost like a diamond, the compact car has a spacious interior and center driving position. It costs very little to manufacture and is suited for all kinds of markets. The highlights of the ‘Diamond’ are customizable exterior panels, latest lighting technology, dynamic appearance, unisex appeal, asymmetric doors and sleek looks. The car, according to Dmitry, is targeted at the premium small car market. What the transportation industry today needs are energy efficient, compact cars that are green and eco-friendly. Diamond seems to satisfy all these factors and if it hits the market, should be a roaring success.
