Porsche Automobil Holding SE is the new name for Porsche as mentioned a week back by the company officials. The new name will depict that the company has two operations, Porsche and Volkswagen.
We also know that Porsche never had the intentions to overtake Volkswagen but for the law, the overtake was mandatory. Porsche had kept the conquering speculations at bay but a recent disclosure by Autobild reveals different intentions.
The revelation is not concerning the business composition between the two companies rather the article reveals a dim-witted Porsche decision to develop a Golf variant based on the VW golf platform.
Come on people, we do not want to see a Porsche like any other sedan on the streets! I admit, if that happens, the anxiety the very word Porsche brings in with it will not be more than the anxiety that creeps into me, the moment I realize that my cocky old servant is joining back work , courtesy dad. I hope you interpret the disgust I have for Porsche, if they make it happen and tell you what this may be the first nail in Porsche’s Coffin.
This new avatar of Porsche will be ready by 2012 as per the Autobild, which means Porsche will simultaneously sacrifice its ‘poles apart car making individuality’. I say this because, if the information provided by Autobild is true, it will see Porsche entering the mainstream auto market. The only non-critical verdict/levy that could go their way would be targeting their home compatriot, BMW.
The legal procedure playing its part in the VW -Porsche verdict, is the reason that stops Porsche from declaring itself as the owner of VW. The moment the inevitable happens, Porsche might be seen sharing a lot of platforms with VW, for they certainly wish too, which is know beyond doubt. As far as I am concerned, I just have my fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen by any means !
