How many safety equipments do you have in your car...? Do you feel safe while driving, when those alert beepers keep binging ...As the old saying goes too much of everything is bad ...Is too much of safety also a driving hindrance...The tide has certainly turned and instead of appreciating those numerous technological out fittings in a car it is time to reveal something which totally contravenes the safety factor.
One too many sensors, alarm beepers, Sat Nav Systems are a Distraction too Driving. A customer does feel safe on realization of the fact that his sedan is equipped with all latest out fittings but the problem arises when he actually stars driving the car. Imagine you take out your car for its maiden drive and the moment you hit 60 km/ph there is an alert beeper on your console LCD display.
This is just how your Maiden Tourney could begin followed by Dozens of such beepers, displays etc. Initially it feels good but if there is a warning or an alarm every 15 mins, it will be frustrating more than anything, which will distract you rather than making you feel secure.
People are often distracted enough just grooming themselves at the wheel
Steven Shladover of the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, told a conference on intelligent vehicles in London this month.
It is High time for the car manufacturers to decide what best fits their car, yet, does not make driving a Frustrating Experience .
