We are not sure if it makes a whole lot of sense matching the wheelbase of a naked street-bike with an iconic cruiser. However, Luca Bar has a convincing point in that the riders of the V-Rod will find the ‘length’ similarities aligned to their laid-back tastes. The Ducati D-66 from Luca takes after the Ducati Streetfighter 1098 in power, with only the wheelbase modified in the lines of the V-Rod. Although the D-66 has not got out of the drawing board, the practicality of the concept is not suspect. Well, if it does succeed in adorning the metal and the paint, the 1250cc cruiser might face some stiff competition. Considering that the D-66 would churn out 155hp at 9500rpm as opposed to the 122hp at 8250 rpm rating of the V-Rod, we wouldn’t be overstating our conviction.
