If the dealers don’t understand that they have prices that define the depth of reasonability, it has to be the car buyers who put in an effort to explain the same to them. If you believe they would understand it themselves, you are living in a fools paradise folks; it has to be you who gets it into their heads.
The question that arises is, how do you go about explaining it to those blind money makers! The answer is that you have to find a person as generous as the Hummer owner form the city of St. Petersburg who donated his Humvee so that a group of anti-globalists could shower it with rotten eggs.
This attempt of the ‘Peter Antiglobalist’ group was to express their displeasure with consumerism, of which, cars and Luxury SUV’s form a major part as a car dealer in Moscow places a Hummer at $49,500 (base price)
Russian News Agency, RIA quoted a spokesman form the Antiglobalist quipping:
Luxury is a false value, clouding modern society’s vision. Advertising posters, TV shows and slick marketing constantly tells us that buying things is the most important value in our society.
About the Hummer, the owner mentioned that once the group proves its point, he would sell it off and the money generated would then be donated to an orphanage.
