A collaborative effort between Hybrid Technologies and Big Bear Choppers, the all-electric CHP Chopper has been unveiled at the New York International Auto Show 2008. Built with special inputs from the California Highway Patrol, the Chopper has been designed in commemoration of Officer Thomas Joel Steiner, and other male and female police offers that have been killed in the line of duty. The green bike can go from 0 – 30 mph in 5.2 seconds and has a 40 mile range with its 42 lithium-ion batteries which may not seem like much at the moment but with the eco-revolution taking the automobile industry by storm, we expect its mileage to improve by tonnes in the future.
