Built by two German engineers, the Elmoto is a zero-emission electric bike. A 2kw motor powers the bike for up to 65km on a full charge, allowing a top speed of 45kmph. The bike’s frame is made of aluminum, allowing it to remain comparatively lightweight at just 45kgs. Charging the lithium ion batteries to full potential costs just $1, making this an economical option as well. The same however, cannot be said about its price tag of $5700. Starting sales with Germany, the developers hope to ultimately sell it internationally; currently, they plan to ship 100 units by the end of this year.
