While every one would have guessed that cash was the primary means to get high or catch some illegal drugs from the market, but as you try and dig deep into the street life structure you will come across a number of other crooked ways to catch what you want.
One of these illicit practices prevalent these days is Rock Rentals. In a practice of such nature you can trade your car in exchange of crack cocaine (well this happens only if you are a crack cocaine user). Exchange is of temporary nature; just a couple of hours for a price of two or three rocks of crack.
The deal saves both the parties from unlimited hassles, for one who wants to get high on drugs and the other who wants a ride for some time and is having illegal drugs in his possession.
The practice is picking up on a very fast rate. This emerging trend is discussed at large in a study by the University of Alabama published last Friday in the British Journal of Criminology.
The researchers came by the use of this illicit practice while conducting interviews with Louisiana prison inmates, and they got a confirmation while interviewing some drug users on the streets. The deal may sound well until every thing goes right but unfortunately in case of this there is each and every possibility of things going wrong.
The reason of this is because a deal between a druggie and a drug dealer is always prone to go wrong. Any body might notice that the cars lent under this deal do not get returned on time or even returned at all and there itself lies the problem.
The Birmingham news reported that according to Jefferson County’s Ala. Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Randy Christian most of the time the deals go wrong and the vehicles are reported as stolen.
But as all of you know a druggie can do anything for crack.....
