Present conditions should be given what they exactly want. And today enhanced transportation system with a soft attitude towards environment is one of the main issues. Eastern French competitiveness cluster “Vehicles of the Future” understands this aptly and is planning to put its new F-City vehicle into production. This $15 million project is a sort of integration that includes train/individual vehicle. This two-seater vehicle will be powered by a 13.5 hp electric engine and can drag up to 80 to 100 kilometers in a single charge. It can attain a maximum speed of 65km/h. One more question that haunts the mind while opting for an electric vehicle is that what after the charge is finished. Charging time, 5-8 hours, which an electric engine requires may make the ride inconvenient. That’s why; F-City has developed a rack system, which allows the operator to replace the batteries in ten minutes.

Further, it has something more to give you, an embedded intelligence system that allows the operator wishing to rent an F-City to locate the vehicle in the nearest terminal or to thwart the daily traffic problems downtown. The vehicle is expected to go into production in 2010.
