Finally we have a face to go with Fiat’s much talked about 500 Abarth. The company has also revealed the tech specifics of their newborn and dare we say we’re loving the racy new bodykit on this one. The visual kit includes larger air intakes, side skirts, a rear diffuser, pumped fenders, Abarth decals and shiny new alloys that perfectly compliment the signature Scorpion logo on the grille. The rear also receives a diffuser and two exhaust pipes while the flashy interiors get bucket seats, alloy pedals and leather.
The 1.4-litre turbocharged engine is expected to give a 135bhp output at 5,500 rpm and a 153 lb ft at 3,000rpm torque which will be reduced to 180 Nm at 2,500 rpm in ‘Normal’ mode. The company is as yet mum on the subject of power transmission to the wheels in the Esse Esse version but the new 500 Abarth does feature a new traction control system called Torque Control Transfer, or TTC which lets the power be shared between the front wheels. Watch more pics of the beautiful car after the jump.
