Early this month, Fiat’s outgoing CEO Luca De Meo gave the information about two of the company’s vital future products — the Fiat’s B-compact and the CX-Over.
The information about its two models revealed that the first of the duo, the B-Compact will possibly be identified as Uno, which Fiat seems to have derived from Fiat Punto’s forerunner. The car will be a budget model, making its place in between the Panda and Grand Punto.
Uno is expected to hit the market in 2009, with two of its variants which will offer fashion with sense and low fuel consumption for a good running economy. With Fiat’s B-Compact making its way into the market, Fiat will offer 4 distinct models in the small car category. The A- Segment Panda, the 500, the Grand Punto and the latest from all the B-Segment Uno.
As the small car segment is one place where Fiat excels, the company should concentrate more on what it does the best.
The second model the CX-Over, a compact SUV will make it to the market in 2010. Information reveals that the crossover will be 4.5 meter in length and according to Fiat the new model will be as emotional as an SUV and as practical as an MPV. It will be available in to versions the FWD and 4WD and will be priced around 22,000 and 30,000 euros. It is expected to give some tough times to the Ford Kuga and Nissan Qasqhai.
