Mercedes-Benz seems to have been inspired by the aquatic life. Their new Bionic concept shows their view for the next-generation of the high-efficiency small cars. They have shown the concept vehicle that is very much like the tropical boxfish in the looks.
The four-seated vehicle has a Cd of just 0.19, which is quite slippery when compared to the existing most aerodynamic production vehicle Honda Insight (0.25 of Cd). The innards boast a 1.9-liter four-cylinder direct-injection turbodiesel that gears the behicle up to 62 mph in 8.2 seconds.
At a steady 56 mph, the concept Bionic car will deliver an astonishing 84 mpg. Well, you might not be able to see the concept in the showrooms but Mercedes-Benz has successfully shown their vision for the futuristic designs for the small cars.
