Teaser image of the Fisker hybrid have been doing rounds of the net for nearly a week now, and Fisker has decided to throw out another image along with some details of its upcoming hybrid sports sedan. The new hybrid will make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Fisker joined hands with Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. to make this green sedan. The yet unnamed Fisker hybrid will reach dealerships by end of 2008 or early 2009 with a price tag below $100,000. This plug-in hybrid can be run on power from rechargeable batteries or from gasoline; a standard 110V outlet can be used for recharging.
Claims also say this hybrid could be able to provide a staggering fuel efficiency of 100mpg. A hybrid sports sedan with good looks and a fuel efficiency that reaches the stratosphere sounds impressive, but the final word will be out only when Fisker announces the power this car can build up.
