The ever so innovative Japanese have come up with a human-gas vehicle powered called the tootmobile which claims to be completely no-pollution (yeah, right!) solution to the already over burdened natural petroleum resources of the world. Toshiro Motor Company’s Redbird HG-2000 debuted at the Paris Auto Show and showcased an innovative design that allows a run down old grand ma to drive 20 mikes after a eating a single taco. The car runs on a battery assisted human-methane powered, modified diesel engine that can churn up an impressive 90 horsepower depending on the driver and passengers gastric capabilities and features plush seats that double up as fuel collectors and containment tanks. Thankfully the superior japans design makes sure that the “fuel” is collected without any obvious noises or odors. And in case you digestive system fails you by working the way nature intended it to, then you can always depend on the car’s solar-panels and battery to back you up till you find a good eateries. And Toshiro Motor Company is so optimistic about he success of their ‘wind-powered’ car that they have scheduled to produce more than 100,000 cars by January 2009 in assembly lines based in Japan, Germany, ,Mexico and Tennessee with a four-door family model in the gassy pipelines by spring ’09 if the concept car sells as well as expected. Not that I’m not absolutely abhorred by the concept but I’m guessing for $20,000 a car, the toot mobile ought to sell like proverbial gas-producing hot cakes!
