It often happens that a driving enthusiast, in the rush of adrenalin isn’t really sure when to change the gear, because of which, even a fuel efficient car flips the obvious, and there is no point speaking of the others, it’s implied. There is a way Ford has thought of tackling the issue, with the introduction of the ’smart’ gear change alert. The gear-change indicator senses the correct time for gear change depending on the roads and the driver’s style, alerting him to change it when required.
The Ford’s ECOnetic lineup will have the gear-shift indicator embedded, which will monitor the car’s plying and signals to drivers when it is the optimum time to change the gear thereby restricting over-speeding and unnecessary fuel consumption. Fitted presently into the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic and Mondeo ECOnetic models, the gear-change indicator along with helping to curb fuel usage and engine wear and tear, will also aid the cause of global warming by reducing the CO2 emissions of the car. If green is the way to be, then Ford has done a great job here.

a Great job with a light? Are you serious?
This is soo stupid there only giving customer an excuse to do nothing completely nothing for the env.
It should be prohibited by law giving customer the idea that it is env. correct while it is not.
I think you are too late maybe 25 years with introduction of Econetic.Answer is too simple because VW invented it back in 1982 and set forth in their models Golf,Passat and Corrado.WV cluster consoles lit before Ford’s and that is revolutionary for time, when we never knew what is a climate change.
Its still a good idea and it will do some good..
This is a great idea, there are lots of new car models that really fascinating. There are also new car model cars that help lessening pollution on air. For example the electric cars, this is cheaper for the fact that this does not use gasoline, which is really ecofriendly. Otherwise, it will be no more payday loans for the ailing automakers. Automakers are in trouble the world over. It isn’t just American automakers like GM and Chrysler that are asking for a bailout.
