Apple Computer Inc. has reached an agreement with big automakers like– Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., and Japan’s Mazda Motor Corp. to offer an easy iPod connection in the majority of their fleet. The system will link iPod with car stereos so that it enables users to charge their iPod, listen to and store it in their glove compartment.



The system would also allow drivers to use car stereo controls to select music stored in their iPod. It would also make able, listening to iPods via an adapter, which fits into the car’s cassette-tape desk.



GM will offer iPod connections on all 56 of its models, consisting millions of cars and trucks. Mazda will feature this system in 2007 cars and SUV fleet. The innovation will be seen in more than 70 percent of 2007-model U.S. automobiles, says Greg Joswiak, vice president of iPod product marketing.
