Ford S Max was named the Car of the year , which was the much wanted impulsion Ford needed to lift their dampened spirits and if one deserves credit for this, it has to be the Ford Iosis Concept on which the S Max and many other upcoming models are based ,alternatively known as the ‘Kinetic Design Language’ that depicts energy in motion .

The Iosis Kinetic Design Language has been a true revelation and even after a year and a half gone by since its unveiling recognition has never fallen short. The Iosis Concept has been honored yet again, as it will be one of the thirteen finalists competing for the prototype or concept car award at the exalted Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy.

The prominent event will take place at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy between the 20th and the 22nd April and over a 4000 people will vote through a secret ballot system for their favorite car from respective categories.

The Iosis Concept was chosen as a finalist at this prestigious event for its innovative impact on automotive design. This impact on the automotive design has been thoroughly appreciated in Europe and elsewhere, indeed the first product, which was realistically based on it, was the Ford S Max that went to become the car of the year which speaks highly of the potential of this concept.

The Iosis may have debuted back in 2005 at the Frankfurt Auto Show but in my opinion, it still holds a reasonably good chance to bag the best concept car award at this venue. How good my notion is, will be known by the end of the week.
