Another addition has been made to the popular Ford Mondeo that makes the car safer. AFS has found room in Mondeo’s beams lights. Halogen lamps are linked to sensors that detect steering input and have a capability to swivel 15 degrees. The system also throws in an additional 10 meters of light into bends.
Then there are the static low level cornering lights that come into action at speeds below 37mph and when the sensors notice the steering turning by 30 degrees. The Mondeo also comes with Bi-Xenon lamps that illuminate the road ahead by a longer distance as compared to the AFS system.
