Ford Motors recently brought forth the Ford Female Driver Development Program to realize the goals of many women drivers who wish to be professional racers. The program will try to make female drivers progress to more competitive series, and go as far as the NASCAR Nextel Cup car.

NASCAR estimates that women represent 40 percent of its 75 million race fans. Dan Davis, director, Ford Racing Technology believes the program would increase the appeal of Ford.
