Don’t take that headline too seriously. It is just a crazy headline just like a Las Vegas resident who has just painted his car like a police cruiser. That is one more crazy thing in the long list of crazy things people do all over the world. Jessie Vigil, has taken his 2007 Ford Mustang and painted it in black and white, in the Las Vegas police colours and for that authentic look added a fake bar of emergency lights.
And why did he do all this? Apparently to please his little son, Thomas, who is a big fan of the Transformers movie series. Jessie vigil, a specially abled war veteran from Iraq, confides that he hadn’t been a great dad before and now wants to make amends for it. And what a way to make amends! Which leaves us wondering, how Jessie has managed to drive around the glitzy Vegas in his police cruiser lookalike Mustang without getting into trouble with the cops?
Jessie says he had a word with the district attorney before painting the car, who hasn’t been able to specify any law that prevents Jessie from imitating a police car. This is as long as he, doesn’t take the law into his own hands and start arresting people. And now, the cops are a little worried about Jessie driving on the freeway because they think he could cause some confusion because people could mistake him for a cop and seek emergency assistance.
Apart from that, driving in his neighbourhood in the black and white Mustang, won’t be a problem because almost everybody know the Ford Mustang police cruiser is his car.
