Ford will bring an exclusive, one-off Mustang AV-X10 at this year’s Experimental Aircraft Associaton’s Gathering of Eagles charity auction. Built on the 2010 Mustang GT, the AV-X10 “Dearborn Doll” will be an aviation themed Mustang with modifications from Ford Racing. Paint and graphic theme for the AV-X10 is a tribute to the WW II era aviation paint scheme with a Satin Silver base, yellow nose cone, and a white “AV-X10” paint stripe at the rear. The Mustangs optional glassroof has gone translucent with and sports a stars and pars theme.
Interiors are military and aviation inspired, with bomber jacket style leather trim, aircraft cockpit inspired seats and military olive khaki material for door inserts. Powering the AV-X10 will be the 10-millionth Romeo engine. This supercharged 4.6-l V8 produces 550hp. Other additions from Ford Racing include an FR500S exhaust and FRPP’s Handling Pack.
