Ford of Europe is selling more and more vehicles every passing day. September saw total sale figures at 179,200 units; a 3.1 percent increase over the numbers last year. Ford also managed to consolidate itself in the main 21 European markets as market share went up to 9.8 per cent.
For the first nine months of this year, Ford has sold 1,384,500 vehicles, an increase of 5.4 per cent. Ford Focus remained the bestseller, followed closely by the Fiesta. Mondeo and Transit also showed a marked improvement in sales.
Britain turned out to be Ford’s top market; the brand also showed a strong performance in Russia, Italy and Turkey.
