Ford is set to give American Auto Industry some jolt with its F-150 Hybrid armed with Hydraulic Hybrid Technology. The technology is the same as used in current hybrid cars that run on a mix of gasoline and batteries except the fact that it uses the ‘excess energy stored in hydraulic cylinders’.

Ford claims the F-150, which is still in the pipeline and expected to roll out in August 2008, to be 300% more efficient than the Toyota Prius.
