Ford is definitely a part of my tottering but there constant efforts to make Hydrogen an effective substitute for conventional Gasoline makes me reconsider my christening. It may have been tottering on the sales and profit graph but it is doing a fabulous job to promote this much-needed technology. Today Ford will unveil its record breaking, Fuel-Cell Powered Ford Explorer at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Developed in Collaboration with the United States Department of Energy, this Ford Explorer can travel upto 350 miles on a single fill-up, which is more than any fuel-cell vehicle on the road. You people might be wondering that this one has a lower seating capacity than the production version explorers do in the market and the answer to that query is a big NO.

Owing to it has centrally mounted Hydrogen Storage Tank, which is typically used for six-speed Gear transmission in conventional explorer Models, the Fuel Cell powered Ford Explorer comes with a six-passenger seating capacity and an advanced electric all wheel drive. The right location of the Fuel tank enabled the Ford Engineers to create a larger tank, which simultaneously enhanced that ‘unbeatable’ driving range.
