crosscage

Suzuki Crosscage, the hydrogen fuel cell powered motorcycle, which was showcased a year ago as a concept by Suzuki could soon hit the roads if reports from MCN are to believed. Suzuki which joined hands with the British firm Intelligent Energy has been working on a brand new fuel cell and now the fuel cell is almost production ready.

The new fuel cell will first power the Suzuki Crosscage, which could make the Crosscage the first production, fuel cell based motorcycle. Coming to the Suzuki Crosscage itself, everything about this motorcycle screams innovation and radicalism, even with it’s frame designed distinctly to hold the fuel cells in. The Crosscage’s styling is more like a naked street bike than a sports bike and it uses a revolutionary single end front suspension, doing away with the twin upside down forks conventional motorcycles use.

The instrumentation too looks very futuristic and like all hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles, the Crosscage too will just emit water from it’s tailpipes and will be one very silent machine. So, let us keep our fingers crossed and hope that all goes well for this silent, green machine to hit the roads in the near future.
