In an increasingly consumer-centric society, car manufacturers have remained relatively untouched by cross category competition since buyers tend to invest straight in the finished package rather than asking for a fully customized vehicle. But 27-year old Italian designer Ilaria Sacco begs to differ with this philosophy and interprets the future of automobiles as being more custom-friendly than it is today. The 3 seater multibrand car My Lounge basically draws off of this concept where in the future we will have cars with built in plugs where existing companies can develop a new series of products.

The concept allows users to “create” cars with different products, materials and expense by using a cross segment of materials and components bought from different brands. The concept car features an exterior that is designed to be comfortable in terms of interior space. The imperative for the design language of the volume was to think first of all of the user which reflects via easy accessibility and since the main aim behind the project was to create a livable space within the vehicle, the interiors too have been kept open to brand customization.
