Fuoss 01 Trackcar has been built solely for the driving experience. It took designer Dieter Fuoss five years to completely design and build this car, which will reach the roads in the first quarter of 2009. The lightweight design does not have a roof, and the designer has tried to compensate for that with rainproof interiors.
Power from the 43 PS Suzuki DOHC engine is transmitted to the wheels through a five-speed sequential gearbox, with an average fuel efficiency of 47mpg. The Fuoss 01 can reach a top speed of 91 mph. To enhance the driving experience, the vehicle gets a low center of gravity and a direct steering mechanism, with a central seating position for the driver.
Fuoss 01 Trackcar will get a limited edition run, with just 10 cars reaching the road, and that too with customization options to enhance the exclusivity. Sticker price on this Trackcar reads 29,000 euros.
