Geiger Cars has come up with a tuned version of the Ford GT. The GT, whose production was discontinued in 2006, boasted of 500 horses under the hood with a top speed of 205mph; not really in need of ‘improvement.’
Geiger cars decided on more power for the GT, so they added a larger compressor to raise supercharger boost pressure from 0.8 to 1.25 bars, changed the engine electronics, added larger throttle valves and a sport air filter to take the power output to 701 hp. Other changes include a tinkering with the exhaust system and sport suspension package that pull down the ride height by 2.3 inches.
Increase in horsepower though, has not done any wonders to the vehicle. The time taken for a zero to 60mph dash is 3.5 seconds, the same as the stock GT, the quarter mile run shows a small improvement and clocks at 10.9 seconds as compared to 11.6 seconds of the stock model. Top speed of the Geiger Cars Ford GT is electronically limited to 211mph.
