At an age where we talk about conventional gasoline driven sports cars, something similar driven on Diesel is certainly different and that is why I thought it was important to mention about the Heico HS3 D5 from Heico Sportiv. We all know how good German tuners are and when a tuner from this part of the world does some customization the hopes are always high and if is backed up by unconventional engine upgradations it does what an icing does to a cake .
At the upcoming Essen Motor Show, Heico Sportiv will unveil a sports car that runs on Diesel. Dubbed the Heico HS3 D5, this sports car will be based on the Volvo C 30 Hatchback. The car choice deserves accolades as his car succeeded in winning the coveted Golden Steering Wheel Award this year. The Volvo C30 Hatchback has undergone an extensive tuning program with fortes like a new height-adjustable suspension and 4-piston sports brake kit.
The car has been trimmed with the use of a sexy body kit that includes new front and rear bumper spoilers, fender flickers and side skirtings’. The best feature of this car is its 5-cylinder diesel engine that produces 400 Nm of torque and a total output of 205 hp.
This diesel engine powers the car to topple the 0-60 mph dash in 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph. To allow better ventilation the HS3 D5 has a new 4-tip stainless steel exhaust . This diesel powered car is good in terms of performance and the technology incorporated, it will be interesting too see the kind of response it gets at the Upcoming Essen Fare and thereafter when it purchasable
in 2007 .
