Steve Fossett World Land Speed Racing Team needs a woman,
for their new jet-powered car, that is. The team’s jet powered car has a huge 40,000-horsepower S&S Turbine LM-1500 jet engine, and a drag that is less than a quarter of the current record holder, the Thrust SSC. The 48-foot long racing craft however has a small cockpit that has forced the team to issue a plea for a woman capable and willing to drive this car all the way to a new Absolute Supersonic Land Speed Record.
The racing team believes that there are a number of women who will be interested in embarking on this venture. Apart from the qualifications and credentials, the interested candidates are also required ‘to bring sponsorship to the table’.
