When it comes to picking car ratings, be it in any sense, I always make sure that the source is reliable for otherwise there isn’t a dearth of columnists. When the source compiling the rankings is as dyed-in-the-wool as the Kelly Blue Book Company, you can be rest assured that the compilation is flanking precision.
The latest ranking list compiled by the largest appraiser of automobiles from California is that of the best interiors from all car, SUV and truck segments. Reversing, what has quiet become a trend, the US automakers managed to grab the bulk of awards from all segments, leaving behind their Asian counterparts like Honda, Mazda and Mitsubishi.
Talking about the pattern in which these cars were ranked Kelly Blue Book cited:
During the survey, “active” new-vehicle shoppers were asked to rank the interior styling of the various vehicle brands “based on overall comfort, headroom and legroom, as well as interior design throughout the cabin, including intelligent layout, quality materials, convenient compartments and superior ergonomics.

The survey, on which the rankings were based, was given the name ‘Brand Watch’ and as per the results:
Mercedes took the laurels in the car segment for its Mercedes Benz convertible (pictured); General Motors was crowned the best amongst trucks (pictured) leaving behind strong contenders like Ford and Dodge. Cadillac bagged the award for the best SUV interior.
It is difficult to keep Toyota away from swelling its awards pergola which was evident here too as the Japanese giant was crowned the best in the minivan , non luxury SUVs and non luxury Sedan segment .
General Motors could be feeling proud after a long -long time as its ultra modern trucks managed to take the top three positions out of the seven contenders who were lined up against the GM makes for a similar honor. Cadillac is a long associated name with luxury and it lived up to its repute though a little unconventionally, considering the wagon which made it grab the award was a sturdy Sport Utility Vehicle.

The redesigned interior of the 2007 Cadillac Escalade(pictured) also featuring in the Escalade EXT was the one that made Cadillac clinch the title overpowering the Lexus LX 470, the GX 470, the RX 350 crossover and the brigade of Mercedes ML-class midsize SUVs.

Toyota as mentioned above, managed to cash-in a few even with its simple makes viz. the Sienna Van, Highlander SUV and Camry Sedan (pictured) from a classier end.
For a change, these awards came as a breath of fresh air, as off late the Bavarians and the Japanese had dominated all awards but this one saw all three on an equal platter. This could do a world of good for the worried automakers from Detroit, Michigan who have otherwise been facing cut throat competition, which has seen them getting routed on many competitive frontiers .
