GM motor had dominated the sport utility vehicle and truck market for years but last year it had a major set back and had to take some strong steps to meet the loss. Now the Company regained its hopes to cherish the same top position in the market and is planning to debut its redesigned Chevy Malibu at North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The new car is likely to pose a stiff competition to Toyota Motor Corp.’s (Charts) Camry and Honda’s (Charts) Accord that accounted for the fall of sale of Company’s largest brand, Chevrolet. The car has much better features from the previous model and will be surely appreciated by the customers. It has a sleeker outer appearance and better interior that will comfort the passengers. The redesigned car has mechanical components from the well-reputed Saturn Aura sedan and promises a better fuel economy and pricing.
The Company has also paid a lot of emphasis on the safety equipments as the vehicle features side curtain airbags and stability control.
GM will launch a number of redesigned vehicles this year, including the Cadillac CTS and the new GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave crossovers.
