GMC has introduced a new concept car – Denali XT. This Holden designed GM product has some unique features which if included in the mass produced automobile, will make it stand out in the crowd. The Denali XT has been dubbed as a hybrid sport-utility truck by its manufacturers. The vehicle will be powered by a 4.9l V8 engine that involves the first ever combination of GM’s two mode hybrid system with E85 ethanol- capable engine. At low speed, the electrically variable transmission system allows all-electric propulsion. The pickup is believed to be more energy efficient than similar vehicles.
The four-seater has generous interior and cargo space. GMC has worked mostly on its cargo space making it possible to lower the Midgate to increase cargo space. There is a multilink suspension in the front. To reduce shocks, the back of the car is supported by a four-link suspension using coil-over shocks with decoupled stabilizer bar. The manufacturers hope to add floating red illuminated instrumentation numerals with large vehicle interface screen.
