Good days for Fiat Auto are here now. The Turin based automaker sold more than 1 million units of their cars in the first half of 2006. it is the first time since 2001 that the company has reached that landmark.
Emboldened by its achievement, the carmaker has projected a sales target of more than 1 million units in the second half of this year. Chief Executive, Sergio Marchionne told a conference call on Monday:
Certainly on the indications that we have so far we should be able to duplicate this in the second half of this year.I think it does form a good basis for us to look towards 2007 and the margin targets we have set for ourselves of between 2 and 4 percent.
The current Fiat models are Albea, Barchetta, Croma, Doblo, Ducato, Fiorino, Grande Punto, Idea, Marea, Multipla, Nuova 500, Nuova Panda, Palio/Palio Weekend, Punto, Scudo, Sedici, Seicento, Siena, Strada, Stilo, Ulysse.
