project rechargeit

It is not a big deal for them considering their stakes but it is their attitude which surprises us all. Last year Google promised a financial help of $10 million for R&D to any automaker that was willing to speed up work on alternative energy powered vehicles. We still don’t know whether that money was offered to an automaker, but it wasn’t their fault for if no one showed the ardour. Irrespective the stance of the automakers, Google is itself determined to get the green mantra going for they are investing $10 million into plug-in electric hybrid research and real world testing. It is the Google.org part of the entire division which is funding the project Recharge IT; there own project for testing hybrids with V2G technology. RechargeITs’ current demonstration fleet has been upgraded with four Prius and two Ford Escape Hybrids which have in turn been equipped with plugs and batteries.
