The fact is that every instant I get a first look at a car I get really crazy. It is just like looking at a new born for the first time- it is all very exciting and special. We recently got you the first spy shots of the Mercedes Benz SLC with Gullwing doors and now we get you the first look at the much awaited and even more rumored Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport and the unveiling is surely grand indeed. While many might worry about the new design and the total lack of a roof which potentially affects the cars aerodynamics I still think it looks stunningly good.
The long-rumored targa-style Bugatti Veyron will officially be called the Grand Sport. We recently learned that the pop-top Bug will make its public debut at the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance in a couple of weeks and Gooding & Company will be auctioning the first order slot on August 17th, right after the best-in-show trophies are handed out at Pebble Beach. (Pebble Beach reminds me of Golf).

Bugatti has developed the roof so that there will be no draft inside even with the roof pulled back. Even with its top speed limited to 217, this will be one of the fastest open top cars around. We’ll get you more details as they become available, but for now, you better get down to Pebbel Beach pretty quick if you want a piece of this hot action. By the way do carry cash in excess of $2,250,000, the expected starting price. Bugatti is planning to build just 80 of these Grand Sports and they will not come cheap by any means!

The front end has been redesigned. New LED headlights. Redesigning more would cause massive headaches over aerodynamics. Hopefully we can avail those parts in our favorite autopartswarehouse.
