A new rumor on the waves says Nissan is getting ready to expand the GT-R family, this time with a Saloon. The four-door saloon will share its chassis and gearbox with the GT-R coupe, but the hood is likely to house a 5.0-litre V8 from Infiniti’s FX50 SUV. This adds up to a power of 420bhp, and a top speed of 170mph, and with a zero to sixty mph dash taking less than five seconds. With all these changes, a big one would be that this GT-R won’t carry Nissan’s badge, Infiniti’s insignia will take its place on the grill of the GT-R saloon, if it ever comes out, which could possibly happen by 2011.
