Many of us are big fans of both music and bikes but we do not ever even try mixing them up both. The best we could do is probably to hear some music when on a ride. That is pretty much our tribute to Bryan Adams or Santana. But then, one guy took it a lot further than just that by paying a great musical tribute to the artists of the past. German Dieter “Didi” Senft made the giant ‘Guitar Bike’ which is his attempt to get in to the record books.
The bicycle stands over 14 meters long and 4 meters tall and it is crafted in the shape of a guitar. The maker tells us that it is not easy to ride one of these and it is understandably so. He hopes to put it in a museum that he plans to open in front of his own home. Didi is pretty famous in his homeland of Germany for making wacky bikes and he says that it took him whole six months to make the ‘Guitar bicycle’. The thing weighs a good half ton and is very different from the earlier version of bicycles made by him as a tribute to the soccer world cup. The video is a must watch and loads of fun, not to mention the accent of the reporter.
