gyrowheel

When children start learning bicycles, they initially rely on training wheels to maintain balance, and though it is a simple and convenient way, the modern world offers a more “technological” solution to the issue. The gyrowheel replaces the front wheel of a bicycle, and makes the training wheels redundant by providing better balance and even claims to help the rider learn better riding techniques.

The wheel has a battery powered spinning disc inside, which works a bit like a gyroscope and provides “gyroscopic precession” force that avoids wobbling or falling over, thus maintaining balance. The 12-inch Gyrowheel will be available for purchase in December this year, while the 16-inch variant will come along in spring next year.
