The Beast
Mercedes-Benz SLR is a powerhouse itself, and when Hamann steps in to kick up the performance, the only way to go is up. The German tuner has worked on the performance, as well as the exterior of this beast. Volcano’s exteriors get carbon front and rear wings, side skirts, a bonnet with integrated hood scoop and 21-inch rims for a facelift.
The Machine
Hamann has tweaked the 5.4-l V8 of the SLR to pump out 700hp of brute force and 830Nm of torque, a remarkable improvement over the stock 660hp, 780Nm numbers. With the extra power, the Volcano can shoot up to a top speed of 348kmph, beating the SLR 722 by 11kmph.
Impressive as the Volcano is, you couldn’t have expected less with Hamann working on the SLR McLaren.
