After firing up Japanese roads, Mitsubishi is ready to showcase its 2007 Outlander SUV North American model at the upcoming New York Auto Show. A 3.0 V6 MIVEC sits inside the US Outlander paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters allowing you to change gears manually without leaving the steering.

The new Outlander will be introduced in two drive formats: ‘the electronically controlled 4WD system and a front-wheel drive version tailored to the North American market.’

To achieve impeccable balance the new Outlander is loaded with high-rigidity platform ensuring impact safety and an aluminum roof panel that lowers center of gravity.

Other features include a split flap-fold tailgate, a standard Bluetooth(R) hands-free cellular phone interface, advanced FAST-Key access system, and optional 650-watt Rockford Fosgate(R) audio system, DVD entertainment and hard-drive navigation system.
