the hauler

Lorax Motor Works has introduced an all-terrain tricycle it calls “The Hauler.” The Hauler provides electric assist riding for pushing the pedals, and is good to cover 20 miles on a full charge from its solar panels. It can reach a top speed of 20mph and has safety for a 50 degree rollover angle. Going true to its name, the Hauler can haul loads more than 136kg.

It takes six hours for a full charge, and the cost works out to about 10 cents, allowing the Hauler a “fuel efficiency” of 900mpg. Lorax Motors sees the future of the tricycle in developing countries like India and China; where they believe, the vehicle will be able to meet the needs of the changing lifestyle, while keeping the environment safe. The Hauler has a price tag of $2800.
