Heidi Klum and Seal will have their first joint appearance for an endorsement, and that will be for Volkswagen. Three-year ‘cooperation’ between VW, Seal and Heidi Klum was announced at the Automobilforum in Berlin.
Both, Seal and Heidi Klum have a long relationship with the company. Seal has been with the new Passat at its launch in Hamburg in February 2005 and a couple of other occasions with VW made him the choice for ambassadorship. Heidi has more of a personal relationship with the brand, as she recalls her rides in a VW bus with her father, in her childhood. She has a hardtop and a convertible version of the new Beetle in her garage.
The collaboration will begin with the campaign for the Tiguan, and will encompass print ads, making-ofs, a TV commercial and a video broadcast by the couple. TV commercial will feature Seal’s new CD, ‘Living the Right Life’, as the soundtrack.
Stephan Gruhsem, head of Group Communication at Volkswagen said:
Klum and Seal are a modern patchwork family. They are natural and unpretentious personalities, tolerant and globally orientated - and thus represent values which can be attributed to Volkswagen, too.
