Hennessey has revealed details and a teaser shot of its Venom GT supercar concept. The mid-engined beast boasts of some marvelous technical specs, its mighty twin-turbo V10 churns out a massive 1000 horses; considering the chassis weighs 1,255 kgs the power to weight ratio stands at an ‘attractive’ 1.225kg/hp.

Transmission will be a six-speed or a sequential gearbox. With such a huge horsepower, comparisons with the Veyron are inevitable; company founder John Hennessey says the new supercar isn’t meant to be a ‘Veyron Slayer’.

Though the car still hasn’t graduated to production, its engine figures mean that it can catapult from zero to 100kmph in 2.5 seconds and touch 300kmph in just 14 seconds. Currently, the company has plans for two separate concepts, the first of which will be shown in 2009. Hennessey may send the Venom GT Supercar concept for production if there is enough demand.
